The initial estimated price presented to you is not a guaranteed amount: it is conditional on your qualification under the underwriting standards of each insurer we represent and is based on the information you have provided, as well as certain assumptions and preselected values used to provide you with an estimate in a short time. These may be modified to more accurately reflect your situation. 

A number of factors are not considered by this tool to determine the accuracy of your premium or your qualification under the underwriting standards of each insurer we represent. As a result, additional information will be required by an insurance representative, either via chat or by phone. This may lead to changes in your coverage or an adjustment of your premium. 

In certain circumstances, and notwithstanding the fact that a price is presented to you by the virtual assistant Axel, we may not be able to insure you (in whole or in part) or your insurance premium may be revised. For example, if: 

For auto insurance policies 

• You or another driver listed on your policy use your vehicle outside Quebec for more than four weeks per year, consecutive or not; 
• You or another driver listed on your policy have a learner's permit or a driver's license from another province or country; 
• You or someone living under your roof have been refused auto insurance or had a home policy canceled; 
• You live in a region where we do not offer coverage; 
• You use your vehicle for commercial purposes or to transport goods or materials; 
• Modifications have been made to your vehicle, and their values exceed $1,000 or improve your vehicle's performance; 
• In the last 3 years, your driver's license or that of one of the drivers listed on your policy or any person living under your roof has been suspended or revoked; 
• You or any other person living under your roof have a criminal record; 
• There is an amount due related to an Intact Insurance policy. 

For home insurance policies (homeowner, co-owner, and tenant)

• You live in a region where we do not offer coverage; 
• The roads leading to your home are not accessible year-round; 
• There is a particular type of primary heating system (e.g., oil heating or solid fuel heating); 
• Your home is 40 years old or more; 
• The electrical system is less than 100 amps; 
• The electrical system is composed of knob and tube wiring; 
• There is galvanized steel plumbing in the home; 
• You have more than 2 mortgages or lines of credit on your home; 
• There are commercial or professional activities (including a daycare) in the home; 
• You have had 2 claims or more in the last 5 years or 3 claims or more in the last 10 years; 
• You or someone living under your roof have been refused home insurance or had a home policy canceled; 
• Your home is used wholly or partly for rental purposes; 
• There are roommates or boarders in your home; 
• Your home is a mobile home; 
• The foundation of your home contains pyrite and/or pyrrhotite; 
• Your home contains a homemade or non-certified auxiliary heating system; 
• The thermal insulation of your home is composed in whole or in part of sawdust, asbestos, urea-formaldehyde foam insulation, vermiculite, or any other material that could be a health hazard; 

Questions related to these matters (including questions related to the scenarios stipulated above) will be asked by an insurance representative to verify if we can insure you under the underwriting standards of each insurer we represent and to assess the risk to be covered if applicable. 

Coverages, Limits, and Deductibles 

For your convenience, coverages, insurance amounts, and deductibles have been preselected. These preselected values may not suit your needs. If you wish to modify them, they can be customized by chatting with an advisor or by phone with an insurance representative. Modifying your coverage, insurance amounts, and deductibles may affect the amount of your premium. The basic coverage summary that appears on the virtual assistant Axel is provided for informational purposes only. Your insurance contract prevails at all times: please consult it for a complete description of the coverages and exclusions. 

To proceed with your quote 

To proceed with your quote, you must contact an insurance representative at the phone number appearing on the virtual assistant Axel. Additional information will be required, and your premium may be adjusted. The premium calculated by the insurance representative will take precedence over the estimated premium by the virtual assistant Axel. Certain conditions apply to the monthly payment option displayed by the virtual assistant Axel. 

Use of Personal Information 

Your personal information will be collected and used to provide you with an auto, home, or other insurance quote to create a profile in your name. For more details, please see our Privacy Protection Promise. 

Use of Cookies 

Cookies are small text files transmitted to the web browser when a person visits a website. They are used to record information about the visitor or their journey on the tool. 

Assurancia Groupe Tardif Inc. uses cookies for identification purposes to facilitate future visits by users. They cannot contain or transmit personal information. 

To access our virtual assistant Axel, you must allow our server to save a cookie on your device. When you leave the virtual assistant Axel this file will automatically delete itself. If you disable this option in your web browser, you will be unable to use the virtual assistant Axel. 

Assurancia Groupe Tardif Inc. also uses the services of a specialized company to help evaluate the effectiveness of its advertising and to determine visitor behavior on the virtual assistant Axel. To do this, Assurancia Groupe Tardif Inc. uses internet tags and cookies provided by this company and placed on the pages of the virtual assistant Axel. Only data about your behavior on the Axel Virtual Assistant, such as the Axel Virtual Assistant pages that you have visited, is collected for these purposes and no personal information is collected. 

Credit Score Check 

This check will not affect your credit score and will be used to determine your payment options. If you become a client, this information will be updated periodically and used to determine your future discounts.
